Supplies Needed:
- Activa’s Li-Qua-Ché

- Distilled Water
- Mixing Spoon
- Mixing Cup
- Rasp
- Sandpaper
- Brush
- Water Bowl
- Gloss Acrylic Paint
Step 1
Mold
Set out mold for casting.
Step 2
Prepare the Li-Qua-Ché
Thin down the liquid mache’ using 1 part water to 2 parts mache’ in a mixing cup.
Mix well.
Step 3
Casting
Pour liquid maché into the plaster mold.
Gently shake mold back and forth to release any trapped air bubbles in the liquid.
Step 4
Set Up
Allow the liquid mache’ to set up. Once a 1/4” wall is formed on the perimeter of the heart mold pour the excess liquid mache’ back into its original container.
*NOTE: Extra Li-Qua-Che’ may be poured back into its original container for future use.
Wipe off the excess mache’ around the rim of the bowl.
Step 5
Dry
Allow the liquid mache’ to fully dry. Drying time will vary dependent upon room temperature.
As the liquid mache’ dries it will pull away from the side of the mold and develop a hard crust on the edges of the forms.
Step 6
Casting Removal
Gently lift out the dried mache’ casting from the mold.
Allow the heart bowl casting to completely dry out. The maché will become whiter and whiter in color as it continues to dry out.
Step 7
Edges
Smooth out any rough edges on the heart bowl using a rasp followed by sandpaper.
Step 8
Paint
Paint the heart bowl using gloss acrylic paint.
