Materials Needed:
- Recycled materials such as plastic containers and glass jars
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- White Celluclay
- Sketchbook
- Pencil/Pen
- Watercolor Paints
- Acrylic Paints
- Water Dish
- Brushes
- Accessories like earrings (optional)
Options for filling the planters:
- Plant: Potting soil might be added
- Fresh flowers: Floral wet foam, fresh flowers, and filler greens
- Artificial flowers: Dry floral foam, moss, and dried flowers.
Step 1:
Glue base together with hot glue.
Step 2:
Cover base with ¼ -½ inch layer of Celluclay.
Step 3:
Allow Celluclay to dry for 24 hours or until dry.
Step 4:
Gather supplies for painting the Celluclay.
Step 5:
Use watercolor to paint the face.
Step 6:
Use Acrylic Paint to paint the rest of the FaceVase with a solid color.
Use Acrylic Paint to paint the rest of the FaceVase with a solid color.
Step 7:
While allowing the paint to dry, brainstorm ideas for the details in a sketchbook.
Step 8:
Add the details with acrylic paint.
Step 9:
Place a small live paint into the top container. Moss may be added around the base of the plant as well.
Step 10:
Accessories may be added such as earrings.
*Note: Rather than a plant, fresh or artificial flowers can be added to decorate the FaceVase.
